Preferably this will be done via a face to face meeting over Zoom, as this allows us to brainstorm together efficiently.
Website design
There are a few ways we can approach this part of the process:
- You provide a full site design by a professional graphic designer. This usually provides the quickest turnaround.
- We could use a pre-made WordPress template that you have purchased. Once I have changed the logo, title and contents, it will start to feel like “your site”.
- I design the website for you from scratch, following standard design layouts and guided by examples of similar websites in your industry.
Website development
I specialise in using the WordPress Content Management System. I find that it strikes a good balance between being easy to use and also easily extended for any custom requirements.
Either by adding off the shelf plugins, or writing custom code that interfaces with your website, I can get everything working just the way you need. This extensibility is a great advantage over other systems like Shopify, Square or Wix.
Testing and launch
It is very important that the website is thoroughly tested before “going live”. Some of the key areas I will test:
- Core functions (e.g. submitting enquiries)
- Loading and viewing on different devices (e.g. desktop, tablet and mobile)
- Site speed and accessibility
- Search Engine Optimisations – Can people find your website on Google, and Google Maps?
- AI Optimisation – Can ChatGPT and Claude find and recommend your website?
Once everything has been tweaked and any bugs fixed, I will make your new site available to the word!

I will host the website on dedicated server infrastructure that is globally available and very resilient. This includes:
- Very fast loading times (hosted in the Southern Hemisphere)
- Automatic threat prevention
- Automatic SSL certificates
- 31 days of off-site backups
- Dedicated analytics system
- Ability to handle very high traffic throughputs
- 2FA login protection
- Optional addon for regular plugin updates and health/security checkups
- On-call for emergency downtime recovery
How much does it cost?
My hourly rate is $130 (+GST).
Website hosting is fixed at $99 (+GST) per month.
I don’t provide pre-packaged quotes, as every website will have different requirements and I prefer to have a conversation first so I can tailor a quote to your specific requests.
